Hmmmm….. Back in the saddle again?!?  Hey!!! I’ve finally have been assimilated into Hollister!!! 

Hollister United held their first practice today to kickoff the 2005 fall season.  United has 11 returning players from the spring season.  I would like to welcome Jahkya, Jessica and their families into the now Division 1 Hollister United family.    The addition of these two new young ladies will surely be a great complement to this already fantastic team. 

After a few minutes of warm-ups and drills, the rust was knocked off fairly quickly and girls were back in action and looking good.  This is going to be a hard fought season.  The girls will be facing many teams they played against last fall season.  With what I saw today, they have all the makings of a championship team.  United is practicing with great pride.

Now that I put all of that pressure on everyone, the United team coaches have a big job ahead of them, but they have things well under control.  All four coaches from last season are returning and have the game plan well in hand.

Coach Ted related “Going into this fall season I have a lot confidence in the girl’s development in their soccer skills, work ethics, and enthusiasm for the game.”  

With that said, I am personally looking forward to this season of reporting and photographing this United Division 1 team.
