Hollister United vs Milpitas X-Girls

Hollister United was in Milpitas for this early morning Saturday
game against the Milpitas X-Girls. This was a good game of
soccer and both teams played well. The first half was
scoreless, but United controlled the majority of the game. In
the second half with a sweeping left to right play in the
penalty box Alex on the run was able to put it over the goalies
head for the 1st score of the game. Allee took a
hard trip which in turn gave United a penalty kick that Alex
took to put United ahead 2-0. The score would remain unchanged
for the rest of the game. United was able to hand the X-Girls
their first loss in two years.

The following day United was in Mountain View to play a late
afternoon game against the MVLA Hurricanes. While this game was
a draw, the whole team played as hard and good as I have ever
seen them. They really rose to the occasion and never gave up.
Kylie came up with a great save late in the second half stopping
a direct kick in the penalty box. The girls fought every second
of the way making for an exciting finish to a fun weekend of
soccer.
